The EES will operate at the external borders of the EU countries which apply the Schengen acquis in full and at the borders of EU countries which — at the time the system will start its operations — will not yet apply the Schengen acquis in full, but will have successfully gone through the Schengen evaluation procedure and have obtained 30 Reporting countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy • Countries taking part in ESS round but data not yet released.
